How I got started
I fell in love with 3D printing so many years ago when I went to an Expo and saw manufacturers tell about their 3D printers. My first real WOW moment was when a manufacturer handed me a small 3D printed medieval tower.
Now, several years later, I finally have my own 3D printer, and boy oh boy is this gonna get expensive. I have already picked the next 3 printers I am going to buy.
But to be honest, you dont have to go as crazy as I am about to. There are several good starter printers out there.
Mine is a Sculpto 2 Pro, and it might have a few downsides, and some issues, but I kinda love it.

A compendium of 3D print files. Seriously. They have everything, and all the files are free, however tipping the designers is highly encouraged

When starting to print, you might have someone ask you if you can print a file or two for them. Calculate your cost, and for your own sake, charge them at least the material for it.
